North Yorks Parks

A guy in the bar said...these Consultants have no idea.I am your original North Yorks tourist, and I
have just booked another week in Whitby.

I love the area, including the Fylingdales eyesore and the wreck of the Drysalters.Oh,and yes the
the grade one eyesore that is a Potash Mine at Boulby.

I now understand there is a planning problem with a company that has bent over backwards to
hide its activites from my sensitive eyes..
Grave concern being expressed that the road traffic during the construction will keep the likes of me
 away!

Well ,dear planning decision makers,I brave your moors, your weather,Shearings coaches, service
buses(in all sizes and vintages),holiday drivers who were last on the road years ago,all the supermarket artics,(asda,Sainsburys etc) all the hotel food trucks, laundry trucks, max size artics on Whitby fishdock, not to mention every type of wheeled agricultural implement known to man.

I am pretty sure I can cope with a truck load of mine waste, every 15 seconds,or whatever wonderous
timetable your people have dreamed up.

The effort shown by York Potash to accomodate concerns is to be admired,as is their obvious interest
in bringing much needed Jobs and Careers to this area.

As for the columnist in the Whitby Gazette who suggests those people having jobs in tourism may
 wish to stay in tourism...
As a Father and Grandparent I suggest jobs for young people in Geology or Mining engineering
marginally betters handing burgers and icecream to tourists.

I hope, for the people of North Yorks, the decision makers pass the plans.

Oh,Yes..one final point, there arent enough Trucks in the North East to meet the frequency of trips some quarters suggest, and there certainly arent the HGV drivers.
